PROVO, Utah — Utah Valley's America Freedom Festival fireworks show will proceed with three massive, synchronized displays on July 4, 2020.
Event organizers say the three synchronized displays will project fireworks to a height of 1,500 feet, twice the height of the standard Stadium of Fire show — this in an effort to encourage residents to stay home to view the fireworks this year amid the COVID-19 pandemic.
"Onlookers are encouraged to watch from near their homes or at viewing locations where social distancing is possible," read an update from America Freedom Festival earlier today. "It’s not necessary to be close to the fireworks to see them---the three simultaneous shows will be visible from miles away."
"Those lucky enough to be in Utah Valley will witness one of the largest, most thunderous fireworks spectacles in state history!"
The three synchronized displays will begin at 10 p.m. from LaVell Edwards Stadium at Brigham Young University, Footprinter Park in south Provo, and Orem Community Park near Mountain View High School.
Spectators can also tune into KSL Newsradio for a special soundtrack that corresponds with the fireworks.
