KAMAS, Utah — A motorcyclists has died after striking a deer on State Route (SR) 150, also known as Mirror Lake Highway, according to the Utah Department of Public Safety.
At approximately 9:40 a.m., on Saturday, July 25, 2020, the 65-year-old male was traveling on SR 150 near milepost 43 when he struck the deer. Milepost 43 is in the area of the Beaver View and Hayden Fork Campgrounds.
"The driver was wearing full protective gear including helmet, leather, and riding boots," according to the Utah Department of Public Safety.
The motorcyclist, who police did not identify, was airlifted with life-threatening injuries.
The next day, July 26, 2020, around 10:45 a.m., the motorcyclist succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced deceased.
