ROOSEVELT, Utah — Six people were injured in a plane crash near Moon Lake in Duchesne County on Friday morning.
At approximately 11:45 a.m., on August 7, 2020, Duchesne County Sheriff deputies and emergency medical personnel responded to a plane crash just south of Moon Lake near a group campground, stated the sheriff's office.
"The plane, a Cessna T210M, had taken off Friday morning from Roosevelt with six people on board," stated the department. "They were flying near Moon Lake when the plane began to experience engine trouble."
"One man who was on the plane was flown by medical helicopter to Utah Valley Hospital in Provo. His injuries were serious but did not appear to be life-threatening," deputies stated.
The other plane occupants included another man, two women, and two teenagers — all were transported by ambulance to Uintah Basin Medical Center in Roosevelt. Their current conditions are unknown.
The Federal Aviation Administration and National Transportation Safety Board will investigate the crash.
